ENC Triathlon organised at Visakhapatnam
The Fourth edition of Eastern Naval Command(ENC) Triathlon was conducted at Visakhapatnam on Sunday, 02 February 2020. Over 250 naval personnel including ladies and children participated enthusiastically in the event conducted in three categories. Vice Adm Atul Kumar Jain PVSM, AVSM, AVSM Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ENC was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony and gave away prizes to the winners.
Lt Cdr Vishal Sharma of INS Karna was the winner of the ENC Triathlon conducted as per Olympic standards which included 1.5 km swim followed by 40 km cycling and 20 km run.The Ladies Open was won by Ms Natasha daughter of Cdr Ravinder Kumar. The ‘Sprint Triathlon ’ included 700 mtrs swim, followed by 20 km cycling and 10 km run was won by Vijay Singh POME of INS Karna while Ms Deepika daughter of LtCdr Shighir won the Ladies Sprint event. Master Deepak son of Sukhvir CPO CD won the ‘Rookie Triathlon’ Junior Open category which comprised of 300 mtrs swim followed by 8 km cycling and 3 km. Ms. Priyanka Prajapat daughter of HR Prajapat MCPO II was the winner of Rookie Triathlon Ladies Open category.
