Cycling Expedition to Spread Swachta Campaign
INS Vishwakarma conducted a cycling expedition on 13 Dec 2019 from Visakhapatnam to Korukonda Sainik School and back. The expedition was flagged off by Rear Adm Deepak Kapoor, Chief Staff Officer(Personnel & Administration), Eastern Naval Command. The aim of the expedition was to spread awareness of the ongoing Swachta Campaign and to promote camaraderie, esprit-de-corps, sportsmanship, physical fitness, and also imbibe ethos of adventure and group cohesion. 72 cyclists including personnel from #Indian Navy #Indian Coast Guard and #FriendlyForeignNavies covered a distance of over 100kms through Simhachalam, Padmanabham, Korukonda, Bheemili, and Rushikonda during the expedition. The team also undertook a cleanup drive en route, towards ensuring a clean and green ecosystem.
