WALTAIR DIVISION OBSERVES NATIONAL PR DAY WITH THEME “PR – THE FIFTH PILLAR OF DEMOCRACY”; DRM SHRI LALIT BOHRA FELICITATED Waltair Division of East Coast Railway observed National Public Relations Day at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Conference Hall, Dondaparthi, with the theme “PR – The Fifth Pillar of Democracy.” The event was organised in association with the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Visakhapatnam Chapter, to highlight the growing importance of public relations in building trust, transparency, and effective communication in a democratic setup.During the programme, Shri Lalit Bohra, IRTS, Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair Division, was felicitated with the PRSI Award in recognition of his leadership and support to public communication initiatives.The celebration was graced by Prof. DVR Murthi, Vice Chancellor, Andhra Kesari University, Ongole, as the Chief Guest. Smt. B. Varalakshmi, Ex-Judge, Consumer Court, and Sri Lakhmana Rao, Editor, Coastal Times, attended as Guests of Honour.Speaking on the occasion, dignitaries emphasized the role of public relations as a vital bridge between institutions and the public, especially in fostering awareness, engagement, and responsive governance.
