In today’s evolving medical landscape, molecular status plays a pivotal role in defining cancer treatments, enabling more precise and personalized care for patients. Alongside this, genomic testing is becoming an essential tool in predicting potential future cancer risks in individuals, supporting early detection and prevention strategies.



With a vision to train and equip postgraduate students and the Pathologists in these advanced techniques, Omega Cancer Hospital, Visakhapatnam, in association with the 8th Annual Molecular Oncology Society Conference, hosted a live workshop on 21st March 2025 at its hospital premises.
The Hands-on workshop focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of IHC marker testing and molecular genetic sequencing, featuring a series of insightful academic sessions taken by Dr. BV Madhavi, Dr. Kishore Kumar, Dr. Nitya Gopireddy, Dr. Srija Bodepudi and Dr. Gowhar Shafi.
The workshop concluded with a highly interactive, hands-on session that allowed participants to gain practical expertise in molecular diagnostic techniques.
Over 120 participants from across the state actively took part in the workshop, expressing their heartfelt appreciation to Omega Hospitals, Visakhapatnam, for providing this unique opportunity to learn and experience advanced molecular technologies-making cutting-edge cancer care tools more accessible in the region.
