- Vizag vision : Search And Rescue Ops – MV Wan Hai 503**Indian Navy Rescues 18 Crew Members Indian Navy in a closely coordinated Search And Rescue operation with the Coast Guard, DG Shipping and other stakeholders, has safely rescued 18 out of 22 crew members Singaporean Flagged MV Wan Hai 503. The MV had reported internal container explosion and resultant major fire onboard.The inputs of the incident were received at IFC IOR at about 0930 hr on 09 Jun 25. INS Surat and a Dornier aircraft were immediately deployed by the Indian Navy to render necessary assistance, and at about 1630 hr, 18 out of 22 crew members were safely rescued by _Surat_ .First aid has been rendered to the injured crew members and the ship is presently proceeding to New Mangalore for disembarkation and further medical management.

- Visakhapatnam Vizagvision: WALTAIR DIVISION LAUNCHES WEEK-LONG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR INTERNATIONAL LEVEL CROSSING AWARENESS DAY 2025*Waltair Division, East Coast Railway has launched a week-long awareness campaign from 5th June 2025, aimed at promoting safe practices at level crossings. The initiative is part of the International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD), a global campaign organized by the International Union of Railways (UIC) with the 2025 theme: “Helping People Make Good Decisions” and the slogan “Safe Decisions – Every Time.” The campaign involves active participation from Civil Defense personnel, Civil Engineering staff, and Railway Safety teams, who are engaging the public across the Division through rallies, awareness drives, and street plays.Today an awareness rally was flagged off today from the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) Office, attended by Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo, ADRM (Operations); Shri E Santharam, ADRM (Infrastructure); Shri M.K. Sahoo, Senior Divisional Safety Officer and other officers. On this occasion a street play by Civil Defense volunteers was also performed at the DRM Office Annex, Dondaparthi, highlighting common risks and safe behavior at level crossings.Addressing the gathering, ADRMs emphasized the importance of safety awareness at level crossings to prevent accidents and safeguard lives and property. The general public were urged to follow all safety guidelines and exercise caution when crossing railway tracks to ensure their own safety and that of others.The safety campaign is being coordinated by Shri M.K. Sahoo, Senior Divisional Safety Officer, who has mobilized teams to conduct awareness activities throughout the Division. Shri M. Satyanarayana, Principal, Divisional P.Way Training Institute, leading the engineering team, and Shri K.Y. Reddy, Civil Defense Inspector, heading the Civil Defense contingent took active part in this campaign.As part of the campaign, intensified awareness drives will be carried out at level crossing gates, public areas, and locations near railway tracks.
