Vizagvision Visakhapatnam : Wailtair Division achieved 5th highest Revenue earning Division in Indian Railways…5th highest loading Division in Indian RailwayNo.1 in growth in incremental traffic to the tune of Rs 1600 crores this FY. Operational & Performance MilestonesWaltair Division achieved historic freight and passenger records, including:Waltair Division has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing all the loading targets and achieved 85.1 Million Tonnes for the first time in any financial year despite several constraints. This remarkable feat was accomplished a historic moment for the division. This showed a growth of 17.25% than previous FY.Crossing 150 MT handling of goods both loading and unloading is also a record which is 17.4% higher than last FYRanking 5th in Indian Railways for earnings and loading, with ₹10422.56crore revenue and with a growth of 18.75% growth in revenue over last year Waltair Division sets all time record.This financial year Passenger traffic rose to 33.42 million, registering 6.6% growth, thus generating Best ever passenger revenue in last 21 years to the tune of ₹881.37 crores showing a raise of 8.71% over last year Total Division’s revenue achieved is ₹11,598.07 crores which is 17% higher than last FY for the same period. Vizag Vision New Delhi :DELIVERY OF MALWAN – THE SECOND ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE SHALLOW WATER CRAFT BUILT BY CSL, KOCHI‘Malwan’, the second of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow WaterCraft (ASW SWC) built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), Kochi, wasdelivered to the Indian Navy on 31 Mar 2026.The vessel has been indigenously designed and constructed by CSL,Kochi to Indian Navy’s specifications in accordance with Classification Rules of DNV. Malwan’ draws its name from the historic coastal town of Malwanin Maharashtra, a region intrinsically linked to the illustrious maritime heritage of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The ship also encapsulates the legacy of the erstwhile INS Malwan, an Indian Naval Minesweeper which remained in service till 2003, thereby continuing the naval tradition of preserving distinguished warship names.The ship is equipped for underwater surveillance, Anti-SubmarineWarfare (ASW) operations in coastal waters, Low Intensity MaritimeOperations (LIMO) along with mine warfare capabilities. Measuringapproximately 80 metres in length and displacing 1,100 tons, the Waterjets propelled ASW SWCs are equipped with torpedoes, multifunctional antisubmarine rockets, and state-of-the-art sensors including advanced radars and sonar systems.With over 80% indigenous content, Malwan marks another milestonein indigenous warship construction and reaffirms the Government of India’s vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. The ship proudly carries equipment and systems developed and integrated onboard by the domestic defence manufacturing ecosystem, including MSMEs.
