- Visakhapatnam Vizag vision: *SEMINAR ON WORKING PROCEDURE OF TROLLEY/MOTOR TROLLEY HELD*The Engineering Department of Waltair Division conducted a seminar on the Working Procedure of Push Trolley, Motor Trolley, and Moped Trolley on today at Divisional P-Way Training Centre, Waltair, Visakhapatnam. The event brought together track maintainers, trolley operators, and key engineering staff for a comprehensive session on safety protocols, operational rules, and best practices.Distinguished Guests were Sri. B. Sai Raju – Senior Divisional Engineer ( East), Sri. B. Naveen Raju – Senior Divisional Engineer ( South) , Sri K G P Babu Rao – ADEN, Sri N K Singh – ADEN, P-Way Inspectors etc who gave valuable insights for safe operational module. Sri. B. Naveen Raju Sr. DEN (South) gave presentation of detailed guidelines on rules for Push, Motor, and Moped Trolleys in both plain and ghat sections. Urged trolleymen to thoroughly understand all regulations before operating and to ensure all trolley equipment, including brakes and working timetables, are inspected prior to use. He, emphasized the importance of taking block protection, especially at vulnerable locations, for both push and motor trollies.Sri. B. Sai Raju Sr DEN East shared personnel experiences and strictly advised to handle trolley with a qualified crew of four, with the head trolleyman’s instructions being paramount. He said, use of mobile phones on the track is prohibited, except for the head trolleyman taking position reports at stations. He reminded all staff to remain vigilant and prioritize safety at all times during trolley operations.After the seminar, the Senior Divisional Engineers along with ADENs inspected the Model Room, Model Track, and Demo Track of the training institute accompanied by the Principal Shri M.Sathyanarayana. This type of seminars creates awareness on the modus operandi of the trolley working on railway tracks and safety protocols to be observed during movement.
