The Annual Sahara Ladies Milan was conducted by Sahara Team (East) of Naval Wives Welfare Association, at Navy House in Visakhapatnam city. Mrs. Devina Jain NWWA, Eastern Region was the Chief Guest for the Sahara Ladies Milan. The main aim of the Milan was to interact one to one with the Sahara ladies. Over Hundred Sahara ladies of Visakhapatnam and their families have attended the Milan.
All issues relating to welfare of Sahara ladies were addressed comprehensively and fresh agenda noted for immediate resolution. Information concerning welfare measures extended to Sahara ladies was presented to the gathering by the Command Regimental System Officer of Eastern Naval Command. Representatives from Naval Pension Office, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Kalyani Polyclinic, Indian Naval Canteen Services (INCS), SBI and HDFC Banks ensured on the spot redressal of grievances faced by the ladies. The programme was well appreciated by all ladies present. Medical helpdesk set up by INHS Kalyani provided health care support to the ladies. The meeting concluded with conduct of fun games, in which all Sahara Ladies participated will full enthusiasm. Finally, hamper gifts were distributed to each Sahara lady as a token of affection from the NWWA family. The day ended as a pleasant outing for the families of Sahara with memorable interaction of ladies with the Naval fraternity.
