East Coast Railway Secures Third Position in Akhil Rail Hindi Quiz Competition – 2025 ECoR team felicitated by General Manager for prestigious all-India achievement

The Akhil Rail Hindi Quiz Competition–2025, organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), was held at the Indian Railway Institute of Financial Management (IRIFM), Secunderabad. The competition witnessed participation from 28 teams representing various Zonal Railways and Production Units across Indian Railways, with more than 120 officers and employees taking part.
East Coast Railway (ECoR) secured the third position in this prestigious all India competition, bringing laurels to the zone. The competition was organized with the objective of promoting interest in the Official Language (Hindi) among railway officers and employees and encouraging the progressive use of Rajbhasha in official work.
The event was graced by Ms. V. G. Bhooma, Additional Member (HR), Railway Board, as Chief Guest and Dr. V. Suguna, Director (Official Language), as Guest of Honour.
In recognition of this achievement, the East Coast Railway team was felicitated on February 9, 2026, by Shri Parameshwar Funkwal, General Manager, East Coast Railway.
Congratulating the participants, the General Manager stated that securing a prize at the all India railway level, especially from a non Hindi speaking region, is a matter of great pride for East Coast Railway. He encouraged officers and staff to continue participating enthusiastically in All India Railway competitions and to progressively enhance the use of Hindi in day-to-day official work.
The achievement reflects East Coast Railway’s continued commitment towards promoting Rajbhasha and encouraging participation of its employees in national level railway events.
