2ND DRUCC MEETING 2025-26 HELD IN VISAKHAPATNAM: FOCUS ON PASSENGER AMENITIES AND SERVICES
The 2nd Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting of 2025-26 was held today, February 3, 2026, at the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) Conference Hall in Visakhapatnam. Chaired by Shri Lalit Bohara, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Waltair Division, the meeting was attended by Hon’ble Members of the Committee, ADRM (Infra) Shri E. Santhram, and Divisional Branch Officers.
Nine DRUCC members participated, including Shri Ch. Vamsi Krishna Srinivas, Hon’ble MLA of Visakhapatnam South, along with representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, industries, cultural associations, recognized passenger associations, special interest groups, and nominees of Hon’ble Members of Parliament.
Shri K. Pavan Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) and DRUCC Secretary, welcomed the members and presented a brief overview of the Division’s developmental activities, performance, and achievements. DRM Shri Lalit Bohara extended a warm welcome and encouraged members to share valuable suggestions, advice, and feedback to enhance Indian Railways’ services.

Members raised concerns and suggestions on passenger amenities, including enhanced facilities for Divyangjan, introduction of special and regular trains, increased train frequency, train naming, and service improvements.
DRM assured the committee that appropriate actions would be taken within available provisions and other issues will be conveyed to the appropriate authorities for necessary action. He appreciated the proactive role of DRUCC members in resolving concerns to the best possible extent. The vote of thanks was proposed by Sr. DCM Shri K. Pavan Kumar.
