SEMINAR ON “CYBER CRIMES”
Visakhapatnam: Sri Ch. Srikanth, Commissioner of Police, has
said that cyber crime has become all pervasive and the only way to
face the ever-increasing cyber threats was to understand it and take
preventive measures. Cyber Crimes are committed without any
knowledge of the victims and once the money is lost to cyber
criminals, it is almost impossible to get beck the money, he
explained citing a number examples of cyber crimes which came to
his notice. Nobody is an exception to this crime, he said
He was the Chief Guest at a Seminar on Cyber Crimes, conducted
jointly by the CREDAI-Visakhapatnam Chapter and AP Chambers
of Commerce and Industry Federation at the former’s Regular
Meeting at the KSR Function Plaza on Monday evening.
The Commissioner has warned that SMEs have become more
vulnerable and realtors should be very cautious about these crimes.
Greed rather than need is the main reason for falling an easy prey to
cyber criminals.
President of CREDAI-Visakhapatnam, Sri KSRK Raju (Sai) who
presided over, said that in the back drop increasing digital
transactions, it is important to have some knowledge of cyber
crime. The Chairman of CREDAI-Visakhapatnam Sri Bayana
Srinivasa Rao said that now online transactions have been on the
rise and we need to have knowledge about the possible cyber
crimes and use tools to prevent these crimes.
Hon Secretary Sri E. Ashok Kumar welcomed the gathering and
said that today’s seminar would help members to understand the
issue in a better way.
CREDAI-AP President Sri B. Raja Srinivas brought to the notice of
the Commissioner, instances of land grabbing by anti-social
elements and requested him for suitable action. Responding to this,
the Commissioner asked members to bring to his notice specific
instances, promising strict and suitable action on the merits of the
issue.

Later a technical session was organized with reputed IT Companies
such as Inspiredge IT Solutions, Inn Data Analytics, Pi Data
Centers Pvt. Ltd. And Labyrinths Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and subject
experts explained various aspects connected with cyber Crime.
CREDAI-Visakhapatnam, Vice President, Sri V. Dharmender
proposed a vote of thanks and expressed the chapter’s gratitude to
the Chief Guest for sparing time from his busy schedule.
