A new Inliving Block for Defence Security Corps(DSC) personnel was inaugurated by Vice Adm Atul Kumar Jain, AVSM, VSM, FOC-in-C ENC during his visit to INS Kalinga on 04 Sep 19.
The block has been named Jagdish Chand Block in memory of Sepoy Jagdish Chand, Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) of 546 DSC Platoon, who while on duty at a Defence Installation in Jan 16, made the supreme sacrifice while fighting heavily armed terrorists.
The three-storeyed block is fitted out with modern amenities and fittings to ensure comfortable living conditions for off-duty DSC personnel.
