4TH STATE CAMP AND RALLY INAUGURATED BY DRM
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Waltair Division, and Patron of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Wing, Waltair District, Shri Lalit Bohra, inaugurated the 4th State Camp and Rally today in the august presence of Smt. Jyotsna Bohra, President ECoRWWO and Vice-President of Scouts and Guides. The event is being held at Aranya, the camping center of Waltair Division beside the Waltair Railway Cricket Stadium, from December 26 to 30, 2025.Over 300 Scouts and Guides cadets from teams across four East Coast Railway districts—Central, Khurda, Waltair, and Sambalpur—are participating in this four-day camp. Activities include campfire, drill and display competitions, melodrama, state expo, march-past, gate-making, camp craft, exhibitions, cultural extravaganza, and quizzes. Lalit Bohra congratulated the Waltair District Scouts and Guides team for their dedicated efforts in organizing the event and shared his childhood experiences with scouting camps. He emphasized that scouting fosters team spirit, togetherness, issue and crisis management, and builds responsible citizens for societal wellbeing. He urged the public, especially children, to visit Aranya and witness the camp and rally.ADRM/Operations and District Chief Commissioner Shri K. Rama Rao, Senior Divisional Engineer and District Commissioner (Scouts) Shri A.K. Moharana, Divisional Medical Officer and District Commissioner (Guides) Dr. Bhashini Priyanka, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Shri Jusuf Kabir Ansari, branch officers, and other dignitaries from Scouts & Guides and Railways attended the inauguration.
