ALL-INDIA DRM CUP FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT CONCLUDES ON A GRAND NOTE
Sreedhar Sporting Club- Winners….East Coast Railway-Runners
The DRM Cup All-India Invitation Football Tournament concluded on a grand note today at Waltair Railway Football Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Organized by the East Coast Railway Sports Association (ECoRSA) Waltair Division, the championship organised from December 14 to 21, 2025.Divisional Railway Manager and ECoRSA President, Shri Lalit Bohra, was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony. Distinguished Guests present were ADRM (Operations) Shri K. Rama Rao; Sports Officer & Senior Divisional Finance Manager Shri M. Haranath;; General Secretary Smt. N. Usha; and other dignitaries and ECoRSA members.In a thrilling final, the East Coast Railway team lost to Sreedhar Sporting Club by 1-2, Sreedhar Sporting Club emerged as champions. Spectators and guests lauded the spirited performance of the runners-up. DRM Shri Lalit Bohra presented trophies to the winners and runners-up, along with medals and certificates to the best performers.Addressing the gathering, Shri Bohra commended the ECoRSA team for organizing the tournament on such a grand scale, highlighting it as a testament to teamwork and self-reliance in hosting mega events. He credited ECoRSA’s proactive efforts and support from other departments for the whole arrangements, for the successful conduction of the All-India DRM Cup Football Championship.
Sports Officer Shri M. Haranath appreciated the ECoRSA Waltair Division’s excellent organization and assured to host more events at the stadium, fostering young talent from villages across the region.
