PreviousVisakhapatnam Vizagvision: WALTAIR DIVISION INTRODUCES PREPAID AUTO-RICKSHAW SERVICES AT SIMHACHALAM RAILWAY STATION Waltair Division of East Coast Railway in collaboration with the Visakhapatnam City Police, has launched prepaid auto-rickshaw services at Simhachalam Railway Station enhance passenger convenience and safety. This facility, already operational at Visakhapatnam and Duvvada stations, aims to streamline last-mile connectivity for rail commuters.Dedicated prepaid counters have been set up at these stations, enabling passengers, pilgrims and tourists to pay fares in advance for their destinations. This transparent process eliminates fare negotiations and ensures passengers know the exact amount payable before starting their journey.The service at Simhachalam Railway Station was inaugurated today by Shri Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair, and Shri Sankabratha Bagchi, Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam, in the presence of members from the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swami Auto Drivers Welfare Association and officials from the railway and police departments. Over 20 auto-rickshaws are currently associated with this service.Shri Lalit Bohra highlighted, “This system offers passengers a clear fare structure, assuring transparency and a secure journey within city limits.” Commissioner Bagchi added, All vehicles in the prepaid service are equipped with GPS tracking systems to enhance passenger safety under the surveillance of Andhra Pradesh Police.Local representatives and association members welcomed the initiative, noting that it will be especially beneficial for the pilgrims, tourists and commuters.

Visakhapatnam Vizagvision: EAST COAST RAILWAY CELEBRATES VISHISHT RAIL SEVA PURASKAR-2025 WITH RECOGNITION OF OUTSTANDING RAILWAY EMPLOYEES.Waltair Division shared overall Efficiency Shield with Sambalpur East Coast Railway marked the grand celebration of Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar-2025 today at the Railway Auditorium in Bhubaneswar, honouring the exceptional service and dedication of its employees. The event saw the felicitation of 49 Railway employees for their outstanding performance, as well as the distribution of several efficiency shields to different divisions and stations across the region.*Key Highlights of the Event:49 Railway Employees Felicitated: In recognition of exemplary service, integrity and professional excellence: 49 Railway employees from different departments and divisions of East Coast Railway were conferred with the prestigious Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar-2025.
