DRM WALTAIR INSPECTS VISAKHAPATNAM–RAYAGADA–TIKIRI SECTION


Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Lalit Bohra, conducted an extensive inspection of the Visakhapatnam–Rayagada–Tikiri section today, reviewing various infrastructure development and safety-related works across the section.
During the inspection, the DRM undertook a detailed window trailing inspection, focusing on critical infrastructure and safety installations, including signaling systems, points and crossings, track renewals, yard remodeling works, new line operations, bridges, tunnels etc. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high safety standards and ensuring the timely completion of ongoing developmental projects.
At Tikiri Railway Station, Shri Lalit Bohra inspected passenger amenities and facilities to assess service quality and identify areas for further improvement. He also visited the railway siding at Tikiri, where he interacted with freight customers and discussed measures to enhance freight operations and strengthen business performance.
Continuing the inspection, the DRM inspected Singaram Railway Station and reviewed operations at the Singaram railway siding, taking stock of infrastructure and freight handling facilities.Later, DRM inspected the Keutguda station and checked the passenger amenities.
DRM was accompanied by senior officials from various departments, including Civil Engineering, Signal & Telecom, Electrical, Traction, Safety, and other branches during the inspection.
