ODISHA TO GUJARAT VIA ANDHRA PRADESH, SMOOTHER AND AFFORDABLE: AMRIT BHARAT EXPRESS FLAGGED OFF FROM BRAHMAPUR TO UDHNA .

Indian Railways is introducing new Amrit Bharat Express service between Brahmapur (Odisha) and Surat (Udhna, Gujarat), bridging the eastern and western parts of the country through Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. This modern and affordable train service aims to significantly boost economic and industrial mobility by connecting mineral-rich regions with textile and trade hubs, thereby supporting business activities, workforce movement and regional development.
The inaugural run of the train will be flagged off from Brahmapur Railway Station by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, through video conferencing from Jharsuguda, on Saturday, 27th September at 10.45 hrs. The service will operate via Vizianagaram–Rayagada–Titlagarh–Raipur–Nagpur–Bhusaval, covering multiple key districts and linking several major towns and cities across its route.
The Amrit Bharat Express is designed to provide a safer, faster, and more comfortable journey at affordable fares. The train is equipped with modern LHB coaches, upgraded seating, a pantry car facility, and state-of-the-art travel amenities to enhance passenger convenience. It will also reduce travel time and eliminate the need for multiple train changes for long-distance travelers.

Towards Regular Service
This inaugural run is a prelude to the full-scale introduction of Train Nos. 19021/19022 Udhna–Brahmapur–Udhna Amrit Bharat Express, with regular service will begin from 5th October-2025 from both directions.
On the occasssion of maiden run of the train will stop at Srikakulam arrival at 14.35hrs & departure at 14.45hrs; Vizianagaram arrival at 15.40hrs & departure at 16.00hrs; Bobbili arrival at 16.45hrs and departure at 16.55hrs; Parvatipuram arrival at 17.15hrs and departure at 17.25hrs and at Rayagada arrival at 18.05hrs and departure at 18.15hrs over the Waltair Division.
