PreviousVizag Vision: Biannual Joint Amphibious Exercise Jal Prahar 25 The Indian Navy successfully concluded Biannual joint Exercise Jal Prahar, a joint amphibious exercise conducted in close coordination with the Indian Army. The exercise aimed to validate and enhance inter-service synergy, operational planning and execution in amphibious operations along India’s eastern seaboard.The exercise was conducted in two phases. The Harbour Phase (16-20 Sep) at Visakhapatnam, focused on induction and integration of the army troops onboard INS Gharial. This included onboard training, safety briefings, orientation towards a mariner’s life, sports and interactions sessions to foster camaraderie. The Sea Phase (21-23 Sep) witnessed the execution of amphibious operations, which included hard beaching at Kakinada, launching of LCAs and BMPs, and validation of SOPs and Joint Training Protocols.

The awardees include officers and staff from Operating, Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Signal & Telecommunication, Commercial, Security and other frontline departments, who distinguished themselves through outstanding performance, innovation, leadership, safety initiatives and sustained contribution to organisational efficiency. The awards were presented by Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager, East Coast Railway, acknowledging their commitment, devotion to duty and significant role in achieving organisational objectives.*Overall Efficiency Shield Awarded to Waltair & Sambalpur Division Jointly* : In a significant achievement, Waltair & Sambalpur Divisions were jointly honored with the Overall Efficiency Shield, recognizing their exemplary performance in maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, safety and service delivery. *Waltair Division bagged 9 efficiency shields* received by Divisional Railway Manager Shri Lalit Bohra and respective Branch Officers from Waltair Division.
