“FOSTER SAFETY AS PASSION” MESSAGE BY DRM AT VIZIANAGARAM
A Safety Seminar was organized at the Railway Institute, Vizianagaram, today (09.09.2025), underscoring the vital role of safety in all aspects of train operations. He conducted footplate inspection from the Visakhapatnam to Vizianagaram in Visakhapatnam- Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat express.
The Chief Guest, Divisional Railway Manager Shri Lalith Bohra, emphasized the need for a safety-conscious approach in all departments. The seminar witnessed the participation from various departments including Operations, Safety, Traction Distribution, Mechanical, Carriage & Wagons, Electrical, Signal & Telecom, Civil Engineering, Personnel, and Commercial. Track Maintainers, Loco Pilots, Train Managers, Senior officers, safety counsellors, and supervisors discussed practical experiences, reiterating the strict compliance with safety norms in train operations.
The Seminar was graced by Chief Guest, Divisional Railway Manager Shri Lalit Bohra, who led the proceedings with inspiring remarks. Other participants included Senior Divisional Engineer (Traction Distribution Operations) Shri Shivanaresh Parvatam, Senior Divisional Engineer (Traction Distribution) Shri Shivanand Prasad, Senior Divisional Engineer (East) Shri Sairaj, along with senior officials from various departments.
Addressing the gathering, DRM Shri Lalit Bohra emphasized that safety should not be viewed merely as a set of guidelines, but must be imbibed as a way of life for every railway employee. He encouraged staff to cultivate a genuine passion for taking responsibility in their respective roles, highlighting teamwork and shared responsibilities as vital to deliver quality service and ensuring job satisfaction. DRM Shri Lalit Bohra reiterated that both safety and punctuality remain top operational priorities for sustaining excellence in all departments. He interacted with the participants to obtain practical experience and insights into their service requirements.
