WALTAIR DIVISION IMMERSES IN PATRIOTISM WITH “HAR GHAR TIRANGA” CAMPAIGN
Responding to the nationwide call to awaken the spirit of patriotism, under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Shri Lalit Bohra, Waltair Division of East Coast Railway has been conducting a series of activities in connection with the celebrations of the 76th Indian Independence Day. These programmes are aimed at encouraging active participation from railway employees, their family members, and the public, fostering a collective sense of pride and unity.
As part of the celebrations and with an aim to raise awareness on the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, encouraged by Sports Officer Shri M Haranath, the sports persons of East Coast Railway Sports Association, Waltair Division, organised a spirited Bike Rally. Led by General Secretary Smt. N. Usha, the rally commenced from the Railway Sports Stadium, with participants riding through the city carrying the Tricolour and raising slogans that evoked deep patriotic sentiment.
Parallelly, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Waltair Division, under the guidance of Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Shri Ajay Prakash Dubey, also organised a Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally, covering railway colonies and city areas with great fervour. The sight of the disciplined line of bikers waving the national flag created a striking patriotic visual across the streets of Visakhapatnam. Many residents stepped out of their homes to witness and cheer the colourful march of the Tricolour.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, children of railway employees, along with youngsters from surrounding localities, gathered at the Rail Club to watch specially screened patriotic films, organised by Personnel Branch of Waltair Division, further deepening the sense of national pride.
Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Shri Lalit Bohra expressed the happiness over the enthusiastic participation shown by every section of the railway fraternity and the public, highlighting the collective resolve to honour the nation and uphold its values. To keep the spirit of Independence alive among citizens across all age groups- Har Ghar Tiranga movement will definitely ignite the minds, DRM added.
