FREE HEALTH CHECK-UP AND BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANISED
The Medical Department of Waltair Division in association with Visakhapatnam Blood Donars Club organized a Free Health Check-up and Blood Donation Camp at the Visakha Rail Club, under the guidance of Shri Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair.
As part of this initiative, a voluntary blood donation drive was conducted in collaboration with the Visakhapatnam Blood Donors Club, Helping Hearts, and the Rotary Blood Bank. The event aimed to raise awareness about health and wellness among both the general public and railway personnel.
The program commenced with the lighting of the sacred lamp by the Chief Guest, Shri Lalit Bohra, in the presence of Dr. Sarat Babu, Chief Medical Superintendent, Divisional Railway Hospital, Smt. Rajkumari, Founder of Visakhapatnam Blood Donors Club, and other esteemed members including Kamaljeet, Chaya, Naresh, Ratnakar, Ramana Murthy, Rajesh, Ramya, Ramkrishna, Vijay, and Chetty.
More than 50 units of blood were donated by enthusiastic volunteers, including DRM Shri Lalit Bohra, CMS Dr. Sarat Babu, and other railway officers. Over 200 individuals availed themselves of the free health check-up services provided at the camp.
Certificates and mementoes were presented by the DRM to the donors, assisting staff, and medical professionals in recognition of their participation and support. Encouraged by the positive response, the Medical Department plans to organize similar camps in the near future.
