SHRI LALIT BOHRA ASSUMED THE CHARGE OF DRM WALTAIR
Shri Lalit Bohra, a 1998 batch IRTS officer with extensive experience of traffic commercial and Policy formulation has joined as the new Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division in Visakhapatnam. Prior to this he was joint secretary in Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India (MNRE). While working as joint secretary in MNRE he has played an instrumental role in framing PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijali Yojana, PM-KUSUM, Wind Energy Policy including offshore wind, Green Energy Corridors, PLI Scheme for Solar Manufacturing etc. He was also Director General of National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE). He was in Board of Director of Power Grid Corporation of Indian Ltd and Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd.
While working in Railway he has worked as Chief Commercial Manager, Chief Passenger Transportation Manager, Chief Public Relations Officer, and Deputy General Manager (General). He has also been the Chief General Manager in Container Corporation of India and has been instrumental in setting biggest dry port i.e. as Khatuwas Terminal and running double stack container trains.
Shri Lalit Bohra is a B.Tech (Electrical Engineer) from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and MBA (Finance) from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani. His hobbies include reading, playing badminton, tennis and running.
