EASTERN NAVAL COMMAND CELEBRATES 78th INDEPENDENCE DAY

On the occasion of 78th Independence Day, a ceremonial parade was held at Eastern Naval Command (ENC) on 15 Aug 24. The Parade comprised marching contingents of Naval personnel, Defence Security Corps and Sea Cadet Corps.
Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command inspected the 50 men armed Guard and reviewed the Parade. He appreciated the men and women on parade for their fine drill movements and excellent turn out and conveyed greetings to all naval personnel and families of ENC on this occasion.
He congratulated all personnel for their commitment towards all significant achievements of the Sunrise Command including anti piracy operations and conduct of Milan – 2024 – the largest ever Multilateral Maritime Exercises by our nation. Looking ahead, the CinC also highlighted on forthcoming events – Multinational maritime exercises Malabar – 2024 in Oct 24 and Navy Day activities including Op Demo in Dec 24.
On completion of the parade, Vice Admiral Pendharkar interacted with participants, spectators, families, veterans, and awardees of Honorary Commission ranks. The engagement underscored the community spirit and shared pride in the Nation’s heritage.
