Annual Athletic Meet held at Navy Children School Visakhapatnam



Navy Children Schhol, Nausenabaugh, Secondary Wing, a prestigious educational institution, hosted an impressive Annual Athletic Meet, 'the Fitness Festival—Ras, Rang, Tarang' at Visakhapatnam, bringing students together to showcase their athletic prowess and celebrate the spirit of unity through sports and displays on 09 Jan 2024.
In a momentous celebration of athletic excellence, the school was honored to have esteemed Chief Guest, Rear Adm Nelson D’Souza, NM, CSO (Tech) HQENC and Guest of Honor Mrs Shylon D’Souza , whose presence added a touch of grandeur to the festivities. The Chief Guest shared his invaluable insights on the significance of sports in overall development, inspiring students and attendees alike.
The day commenced with a colorful parade featuring students carrying flags representing their respective houses, symbolizing the national diversity within the school community. The event emphasized the school’s commitment to fostering global citizenship and camaraderie through sports.
Students participated in a myriad of sports and activities, creating an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere. The day featured various events, including track and field competitions, team sports, and traditional games from different cultures, highlighting the rich tapestry of the school’s community.
Yoga enthusiasts demonstrated their flexibility and inner strength, captivating onlookers. The cultural events infused the atmosphere with vibrancy, featuring dance performances, music, and displays that celebrated the significance of colors in life. “Telematches-Run the Race”, were conducted for parents, adding a fun and inclusive touch.
The spectators, comprising parents, teachers, and fellow students, witnessed thrilling performances and displays of sportsmanship throughout the event. The culmination of our Annual Athletic Meet was an exhilarating spectacle, bringing together the vibrant tapestry of colors and talents showcased throughout the event. As the sun set on a day filled with spirited competitions and cultural expressions, the Grand Finale emerged as the pièce de résistance.
Awards were presented to outstanding athletes, and the best house in sports was secured by Nilgiri House for the year 2023-24, reinforcing the notion that every contribution to the day’s success was valued.
The collective efforts of students and faculty made the event a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity and pride within our school community. Best Athlete Girl and Boy were awarded to Miss Mehr Kaur, XII Std and Master Ritik Rout respectively.
